Woman Pleads Guilty to Sexual Abuse
Renee Noelle Gutierrez pleads guilty to abusing an inmate at the Federal Correctional Complex in Lompoc while she worked there as a corrections officer.

A Redondo Beach resident pleaded guilty Wednesday to a felony charge of sexually abusing a male inmate while she worked as a correctional officer, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Renee Noelle Gutierrez, 42, was a prison dorm supervisor responsible for more than 500 inmates at the Federal Correctional Complex in Lompoc when her activities were discovered, according to the release. Gutierrez resigned her position before she was indicted by a federal grand jury in August.
Gutierrez faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in federal prison. She's scheduled to be sentenced March 26.
