Addi's Tandoor Is 'Neighborhood Gem'

, an Indian restaurant tucked into a strip mall on Torrance Boulevard, is one of 15 "neighborhood gems" recognized in the latest Zagat blog post on the Huffington Post.

"The crowd is mostly regulars enjoying their plates of vindaloo, chicken tikka masala and naan," writes the Zagat blogger. "It's better-than-average Goan Indian food, and a nice change of pace from the chains or (Redondo Beach Pier) across the way."

According to its Patch Directory listing, the restaurant specializes in Tandoori dishes, with its signature dish being the Tandoori chicken.

Executive chef Gurbachan Singh cooks up dishes including seafood, lamb and exotic breads, as well as vegetarian dishes.

Addi's Tandoor is located at 800 Torrance Blvd. in South Redondo Beach.
