Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested In Redwood City: Police

The man fled on foot but was arrested blocks away from the bank in downtown Redwood City on Thursday, according to police.

REDWOOD CITY, CA — A man suspected of robbing a bank near downtown Redwood City was arrested Thursday morning after he fled on foot, according to police.

Victor Torresvalencia, 46, was accused of walking into the Wells Fargo on 1900 Broadway around 9:15 a.m. and demanding money via a note. The teller provided Torresvalencia with cash, according to police.

Torresvalencia was later arrested at the 1700 block of Broadway. Police did not specify whether Torresvalencia was armed or how much money was stolen.

The money was recovered on Torresvalencia’s person, according to police. He was booked into the San Mateo County Jail on robbery charges.
