Kids are our future and they're why we care so much about ensuring they'll inherit a healthy, sustainable planet. Droughts, heat waves, and fires are worsening because of climate change, and there's much more we can do as a community to take action.

Nonprofit Acterra has launched a new environmental program called You(th) Be the Change that educates and empowers middle school students to begin to grasp climate science - and solutions. Sessions deal with a range of topics like environmental justice, carbon cycling, sea level rise, food choices, and more - all to spark interest in middle schoolers and teach valuable problem-solving skills.

Many scheduling formats are available for this free online-based program - it's flexible to meet student needs either in the classroom, afterschool in a group setting, or even asynchronous options right from home. Please contact us (or your local teachers) to learn more about in-school versus afterschool scheduling options! Email ybtc@acterra.org or visit the website.
