First Clear Sunrise In Redwood City: Patch Photo Of The Week
This gorgeous sunrise reminded the Patch staff that a dawning of a new day brings hope amid tragedy.

REDWOOD CITY, CA -- As California burns on both ends of the state, Sachi Chen caught this glimpse of beauty amid tragedy and strife.
Chen chronicled the first sunrise since the Camp Fire started last Thursday, notoriously going down as the most destructive and deadliest blazes in the state's history. The photographer was perched on the Redwood City levee to capture the split blue-to-orange transformation one morning. The moment submitted to Patch gave us real hope for a new day.
The photo of the week moved us here at San Mateo County Patch, and I want to thank you for sharing. Please share your pictures of life in your neighborhood as well as a little bit about what the image means to you, and we will share with your neighbors.
