Over recent years, more and more families in San Mateo County have been thrust into poverty. From the COVID-19 pandemic, to increasing wealth inequality, to the impacts of inflation and the housing crisis, the financial pressures on our neighbors have grown. REDWOOD CITY, CA — A man wanted on an arrest warrant dating back nearly three years on suspicion of sexually assaulting a juvenile in Redwood City was taken into custody Friday, according to police.Jaasiel Nunezcruz, 56, was arrested by Marin County Sheriff's Office detectives at a traffic stop as he was leaving his residence. He was booked into the Marin County Jail on the $850,000 warrant.The alleged incidents took place in Redwood City beginning in November 2018 and Nunezcruz knew his victim, according to police.
