REDWOOD CITY, CA — Police are searching for two suspects after a man was pistol-whipped and robbed at a Redwood City convenience store on Sunday afternoon.
In a news release Monday, police said a 911 call reporting an armed robbery came in around 2:15 p.m. from the Food Stop Market. The victim told officers he was approached by two masked men with handguns. One man struck the victim in the head with a pistol and forcibly stole his gold chain and bracelet, police said.
The men escaped in a gray Nissan Altima with Arizona plates driven by a third person and fled west on Whipple Avenue. Fortunately, police said the victim's injuries were minor and he declined further medical treatment.
