REDWOOD CITY, CA — Another bout of rain and wind gusts is headed to the Bay Area starting late in the weekend and rolling into next week, and San Mateo County officials are sharing a few resources to help neighbors prepare.

After a fair start, the National Weather Service is forecasting rain to pick up Saturday evening into Sunday, with wind gusts ranging from 25 to 40 mph across the region. The rain could intensify as the workweek gets underway with another atmospheric river, propelled by more wind, but SoCal may bear the brunt of it.

"Confidence remains medium to high for wet weather conditions to persist into the first half of next week as well," NWS Bay Area wrote Friday. "It continues to look like an atmospheric river will impact the California coast beginning Monday, yet both deterministic and ensemble guidance suggest the deepest moisture advection will remain south of the Monterey Bay region."
