Officials Urge Peninsula Residents To Sign Up For Alert System
Be notified immediately of disasters or dangers in the region by signing up for the SMCAlert emergency notification system.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA -- Officials this week are urging the public to sign up for the county's emergency notification system in the wake of the Northern California wildfires.
SMCAlert is an alert notification system used to immediately contact community members during urgent or emergency situations provided by the county of San Mateo.
Subscribers may select among multiple options for receiving emergency and non-emergency text and voice messages including email accounts, cell phones, smartphones, tablets, and voice messages to landline phones.

- text your five-digit zip code to 888777
