PortFest To Celebrate Waterfront This Weekend
The daylong festival scheduled for Saturday will honor the maritime heritage of the local port with a working waterfront.

REDWOOD CITY, CA -- Harbor tours, dignitaries, maritime history as well as a water cannon display and shark tank round out a daylong ceremony in this Peninsula town Saturday during PortFest.
The celebration of this working port slated from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Seaport Court at Seaport Boulevard will kick off with a welcome ceremony that features the Moffett Squadron Sea Cadet Color Guard and West Bay Community Band. U.S. Rep. Jackie Speier, D-Hillsborough, and Redwood City Mayor Ian Bain will be on hand to witness the festivities.
The Redwood City Fire Department Fireboat will perform a water cannon display following the ceremony.

Refreshments will be available. Children may take part in a calendar art contest.
