REDWOOD CITY, CA — Redwood City police have made one arrest after multiple recent incidents of teen girls reporting harassment from adult men.

In a news release Monday, police said officers responded to the bus station at 1 James on reports of a disturbance shortly before 4 p.m. on Sept. 8. Investigators learned a man had grabbed a 16-year-old girl and made sexual comments toward her. Officers located the suspect and arrested him on suspicion of child annoyance along with an outstanding warrant for drug paraphernalia.

Police identified the man accused as Eric Perry, 56, of Redwood City.

Officials note Perry did not match the description of a suspect wanted in connection with a similar incident involving a young teen at the same bus stop last month. The suspect in that case was described as having a missing eye. Police are still investigating another case reported near Sequoia High School on Aug. 23, where a 16-year-old girl reported a man in his 20s or 30s approached a girl and offered her money for a massage.
