Redwood City Police Collect Hundreds of Pounds of Pills
Officers participated in a national prescription drug reclamation event.

Redwood City Police collected 347 pounds of drugs Saturday, according to @RedwoodCityPD.
Officers collected boxes upon boxes of unwanted or expired prescription drugs on Saturday, as part of an initiative to get them off the streets.
This "National Take-Back Day," was organized in collaboration with the Drug Enforcement Administration and Stanford Hospital.
At last year's event, more than two million pounds of pills were collected nationwide.
This is the sixth time Redwood City Police participated in the initiative.
