Redwood City, California — American Legion Post 105 Redwood City Elects New Leadership for the year 2024-2025

Effective July 1, 2024 new leadership for 105th time at American Legion Post 105 Redwood City. The new leaders are Commander George Smith of Redwood City Post 105, President Peggy Toye of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 105, Director Andrew Trapani of the American Legion Riders Chapter 105; and Commander Patrick Lucy of the Sons of the American Legion Post 105..

This current success of Post 105 is a tribute to Commander George Smith who will be in his fourth term as Commander of Post 105. Under his leadership, the Post re-established the American Legion Auxiliary, reconstituted the Sons of the American Legion, and established the Each branch of Post 105 family contributes hundreds of services hours to our veteran community and our local community at large..

President Peggy Toye has a long history of supporting Veterans causes serving her sixth year as President of the American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) District 26 of San Mateo County and Post 105 member. She’s contributed as an Auxiliary member since 2014..

In 2023, President Toye was honored as Patriot of the Year by the San Mateo County Veterans Commission for her volunteerism. She concurrently serves as the ALA California Girls State Chair for Unit 105, member of Post 105 Public Relations team, and is editor of Post 105’s newsletter, Keep Me Posted.

Andrew Trapani commences his second term as Director of the American Legion Riders Chapter 105. Mr Trapani is responsible for the many Honor Details every year and is manages ride safety.

The American Legion Riders work closely with the U.S. Volunteers and military honor teams–bringing closure and comfort to families at Veterans’ final resting place. In addition, Riders contribute towards traffic safety at local marathons and community events.

Patrick Lucy was elected to his first term as Commander of the Sons of The American Legion. The Sons are comprised of members whose relatives have served in the military.

Commander Lucy is also a member of the American Legion Riders. Like the Riders, the sons contribute towards hundreds of charitable hours in supporting military honors and additional duties at the Post.
