Speeding Cars In Redwood City Neighborhood Raise Concern: Report

KRON reported that Redwood City has placed stop signs along Valota Road, but that drivers are still going too fast.

REDWOOD CITY, CA — Residents living along Valota Road in Redwood City are expressing concern over speeding drivers in the area after a car drove into a house last week, displacing the residents inside, according to KRON.

The crash last week was just the latest in a number of incidents involving speeding drivers in the residential neighborhood, KRON reported.

“It’s stressful at times, having kids,” Kellie Guinto, the property manager of the damaged home, told the station. “When I had my first kid I started having nightmares about my daughter being hit right here.”

KRON reported that Redwood City has placed stop signs along the road, but that drivers are still going too fast. Guinto wants additional measures like speed bumps to be installed.
