Street Resurfacing To Cause Delays in Redwood City
Neighborhood street improvement project scheduled to begin in late May.
The City of Redwood City will start resurfacing streets in multiple neighborhoods in late May, a process which is expected to inconvenience car drivers.
Lanes throughout the city will be closed. In addition to this, car drivers should expect detours, dust, and parking restrictions. During the 10 weeks that crews will be working on the streets, car owners will not be able to park their vehicles on the streets.
The work is part of a preventative maintenance initiative that will unfurl in two phases. During phase one, crews will apply a layer of rubberized asphalt. A few weeks later, phase two will be deployed, during which a slurry seal will be applied. Some streets will only have the slurry seal work done.
Residents should expect to be notified if their street will be resurfaced. Work is scheduled to begin May 20.
