Voters To Get Ballots In San Mateo Tuesday
The first day of the voting period for the Nov. 6 election begins Tuesday, when ballots will be mailed to San Mateo registered voters.

REDWOOD CITY, CA -- San Mateo County will start the countdown Tuesday to Election Day, as the Registrar's Office will mail official ballots.
With many registered opting for mail-in ballots, voters count on receiving them in time to decipher and assess critical issues associated with California's routine onslaught of measures, along with the candidates themselves. Plenty is at stake in the mid-terms, including the power structure in both houses of Congress.
Nov. 6 marks the second time conducted under the California Voter's Choice Act in which every person who is eligible and registered to vote by Oct. 22 will be mailed a "Vote-by-Mail" ballot. From there, a voter may either return the ballot back by mail in the postage-paid envelope; return the ballot to a Vote Center; or drop it off at any official ballot drop box located throughout the county. Ballots mailed in must be postmarked by Election Day.
