Weekend DUI Checkpoint Planned In Woodside
San Mateo deputies will be checking licenses and sobriety status during an overnight checkpoint Saturday in Woodside.
WOODSIDE, CA — The San Mateo Sheriff's Office will operate a sobriety and driver's license checkpoint Saturday evening in Woodside. In a social media post Friday, officials notified drivers of the checkpoint planned on Woodside Road, which will be in place between 7 p.m. and 2 a.m.
"The safety of our roadways is everyone's responsibility: utilizing safe driving practices, and following the rules of the road are crucial to making sure streets are safe for both pedestrians and drivers across our county," the sheriff's office wrote. "Alcohol impaired driving remains one of the biggest threats to public safety on our roadways. Hosting DUI checkpoints [is] one of the ways to promote safer streets for all."
