Work Truck Stolen At Gunpoint In Redwood City: Police

Two men stole a man's work truck early Tuesday and pointed a gun at the victim when he tried to intervene, according to police.

REDWOOD CITY, CA — Police are searching for two men who stole a man's work truck at gunpoint early Tuesday in Redwood City.

Investigators said the call came in shortly before 12:20 a.m. from the 3700 block of Roilson Road. The victim told officers he heard thieves breaking into his truck and went outside to confront the men. Police said one of the suspects pulled out a gun and pointed it at the victim, ordering him to stop.

Both suspects entered the white Ford F-250, started it, and fled. Police said a second vehicle was seen stopped nearby and waited for the suspects to pass before following the stolen truck. That vehicle was described as a light-colored Toyota Highlander with an unknown license plate.

Investigators are hoping anyone with information or video of the incident can help lead them to the culprits.

"The first suspect is described as an African American adult, slender build, early to mid-twenties dressed in black clothing and wearing a black balaclava style face mask," the department wrote. "The second suspect is described as an unknown race adult male, also dressed in black clothing and black balaclava style mask."
