Burglary Suspect Arrested with Public's Help
Suspect Tyler Von Rembow fled from a Petaluma Kohl's security officer without paying for merchandise. Several public tips helped locate him.

The Petaluma Police Department is thanking the community for its help in apprehending a suspect that entered the Kohlβs Store on N McDowell Blvd and ran from security without paying for items.
The burglary happened Wednesday, December 9.
About 3:30 pm, the suspect, 25-year-old Tyler Von Rembow, entered Kohlβs, placed items in a bag, and left without paying. The attached picture was released to the community with a request for help to identify the thief.

Investigators received numerous tips. A detective was in the area of Motel 6 nearby when he saw Von Rembow, reported to be transient. He was subsequently arrested for an outstanding warrant.
Later, security personnel from Kohls positively identified him as the suspect from the their burglary case. Von Rembow was transported to County Jail on the warrant and will also be charged with burglary from the theft at Kohlβs.

The Petaluma Police Department wants to remind folks in the community that anonymous tips about criminal activity can be sent through their Nixle account.
