Business Robbed At Gunpoint In Rohnert Park

The suspect removed a handgun from his waistband and demanded money from the cash register, police said.

ROHNERT PARK, CA β€” A Rohnert Park business was held up at gunpoint Tuesday.

An employee at a business in the 6600 block of Commerce Boulevard called the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety at 6:25 p.m. to report the robbery.

The employee told police the suspect entered the store and asked to purchase merchandise. When the employee opened the cash register, the suspect took out a handgun from his waistband and demanded the money from the register, police said.

The suspect was described as a Black man around 20 years old, 6 feet 1 inch tall and 200 pounds, who was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black shoes, and had a blue COVID-19 style mask covering his face.

The suspect was last seen leaving the store on foot in an unknown direction, with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

The name of the store was not disclosed by police.

The investigation was ongoing; police asked anyone with information regarding the case to call Detective Kopshever at 707-0588-3352 and refer to Case No. 23-1786.
