Large Fence Fire Extinguished Before Reaching Homes: Cotati PD

COTATI, CA — The quick thinking of first responders in Cotati prevented a large fence fire from spreading to nearby homes early Thursday morning.

Around 5 a.m., Cotati police dispatch received a 911 call regarding a neighbor’s fence that was on fire.

According to the Cotati Police Department, an officer arrived on scene and located the exact address of the fire.

The officer used a fire extinguisher to try to put the fire out, but it was too large.

Rancho Adobe Fire crews arrived and were able to fight the flames as the officer woke the residents up in case of a need for evacuation.

Police said the houses were saved and the fire was put out quickly.
