Hart allegedly stabbed Lucero several times from behind in the theater during a movie and discarded the knife in a garbage can, according to Santa Rosa police.
Police said Hart took the knives from a Macy's store in the Santa Rosa Plaza.
Hart was deemed incompetent to stand trial on the charges in March 2017 and was ordered by a judge to take anti-psychotic medication. He was placed in a mental health facility until his competency was deemed restored.
