Santa Rosa Junior College Announces Closing For Fires
The college announced that it would be closed for an extended period of time and also provided a list of resources available.

SANTA ROSA, CA — Santa Rosa Junior College will stay closed through the end of the coming week due to the wildfires that broke out in the area last weekend.
The junior college will be closed from Oct. 16-22.
"More than 200 students and employees have lost their homes, and hundreds have had to evacuate," a statement from SRJC said. "SRJC will continue to monitor the situation and will reopen when fire and air quality conditions make it safe to return."

All classes and activities are cancelled at the campuses and sites below:

- Santa Rosa (including theatre performances)
- Petaluma
- Southwest Santa Rosa
- Shone Farm in Forestville
Online classes, community education, older adults and adult education classes are all canceled.
