12 CA Businesses Rank Among Yelp's 'Top 20 Most Popular Of All Time'

CALIFORNIA — California dominated a recent list of the country's most popular businesses of all time.

Yelp released its "Top 20 Most Popular Businesses of All Time" list in celebration of the review website's 20th anniversary. The Golden State claimed 12 of the 20 spots on the list.

From iconic parks and museums, to must-visit restaurants, the list represents the most popular U.S. businesses of all time, according to Yelp. The businesses were ranked using a variety of factors, including the total volume and ratings of reviews and photos.

Balboa Park, a 1,200-acre historic urban cultural park in San Diego, ranked as the most popular business in the state and No. 2 overall. The park, which has nearly 2,700 reviews, is beloved by Yelp users for its expansive gardens, museums, and family-friendly calendar of events, according to the website.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City topped the list at No. 1, with more than 3,500 reviews.
