"When firefighters arrived on the scene there was a small structure fire in the home that they quickly extinguished," said Jason Shanley, San Diego Fire-Rescue Department spokesman. "Firefighters were advised by SDPD to stand back. So they turned off the gas and electricity, then turned the matter over to police."
