4 Apartment Residents Displaced In Attic Fire In San Diego
The cause of the fire was accidental, fire officials said.
SAN DIEGO, CA — Four residents of a two-story apartment in the Linda Vista neighborhood were displaced Monday after a fire in the attic, the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department said.
Fire crews responded at 12:08 a.m. Monday to a report of smoke at a apartment complex in the 2100 block of Drescher Street, according to a SDFRD log. They found an attic fire above one of the units.
The apartment's occupants left before crews arrived and no one was injured.

Four residents were assisted by the Red Cross.

Estimated damage to the structure was $500,000 and to the contents, $100,000.
Estimated damage to adjacent units was $100,000.
