Argument In OB Parking Lot Leads To Woman Run Over, Ex-Boyfriend Shot

Both victims were taken to a hospital.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A woman was allegedly run over by her boyfriend in her car and her ex-boyfriend was shot and wounded in the collarbone in the Ocean Beach Pier parking lot, the San Diego Police Department said Thursday.

At 9:03 p.m. Wednesday, the couple argued and the ex-boyfriend tried to mediate, said SDPD Officer John Buttle.

"The man got into his girlfriend's car, put it in reverse and ran over his girlfriend," Buttle said. "Shortly after two gunshots were heard."

The ex-boyfriend drove to the 2100 block of Bacon Street where police were notified of a shooting victim, the officer said. The man had a gunshot wound to the collarbone and two bullet holes were found in the car.

Police responded to both locations. No gun was located.

Both victims were taken to a hospital with injuries not considered to be life threatening.

SDPD detectives were notified and were investigating.
