BOULEVARD, CA — A wildfire prompted evacuations Friday in southeastern San Diego County.

The blaze, called the Roadrunner Fire, sparked shortly before 11:30 a.m. near Roadrunner Lane and Moonlit Trail in Boulevard, according to Cal Fire.

As of 1:19 p.m. Friday, the fire had scorched 88 acres and was 5% contained, Cal Fire said.

The San Diego County Sheriff's Office issued evacuation orders and warnings for nearby residents.

A temporary evacuation point was established at Golden Acorn Casino at 1800 Golden Acorn Way in Campo.
