Boy Seriously Injured Walking Across Street In Rolando

He was taken by ambulance to Rady Children's Hospital for treatment.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A 14-year-old boy was seriously injured when he walked into the path of a vehicle in the Rolando neighborhood, police said Wednesday.

At 10:17 p.m. Tuesday in the 7100 block of El Cajon Boulevard, a white Toyota Corolla was traveling westbound when a boy started walking southbound across the street and into the path of the vehicle, according to Officer David O'Brien of the San Diego Police Department.

The Corolla struck the boy, causing him serious injuries, O'Brien said. He was taken by ambulance to Rady Children's Hospital for treatment.
