Chick-Fil-A Salutes San Diego's Military Community With Special Veterans Day Freebie

SAN DIEGO, CA — Chick-fil-A restaurants in San Diego County are saluting San Diego's military community this Veteran Day.

All active-duty military members and veterans can get a free Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich Tuesday at participating San Diego area restaurants. Customers need to present a valid military ID and scan their Chick-fil-A app at checkout.

"Caring for local service members is an honor," said Rick Preciado, a veteran and local owner-operator of Chick-fil-A Grossmont. "As someone who has served, this Veterans Day giveaway is especially important to me. It's a small gesture compared to the sacrifices our military members make, but we hope it reminds them how much they're appreciated."

Additionally, Chick-fil-A now partners with ID.me to provide year-round recognition for service members. Once military status is verified through ID.me in the Chick-fil-A app, customers are eligible to receive future Chick-fil-A rewards and offers.
