Deputies Find Man Lying On Lakeside Street, Dying From Gunshot Wound
San Diego County Sheriff's deputies were called at approximately 3:10 p.m. to the 9700 block of Cactus Street after a report of shots fired.

A 26-year-old man was found lying on a Lakeside street, critically wounded from a gunshot on Tuesday afternoon.

San Diego County Sheriff‘s deputies were called at approximately 3:10 p.m. to the 9700 block of Cactus Street after a report of shots fired.
Lt. Joseph Jarjura said deputies found Michael Anthony Johnson lying in the street suffering from a gunshot wound.

Lakeside Fire Protection District paramedics were called to the scene to render aid to the victim, but Johnson was pronounced dead at 3:25 p.m., Jarjura said.
There is no immediate information about a possible suspect in the fatal shooting.
