  1. Weather surprise may be on the way! Forecasters say monsoonal weather may be on the way beginning next week. This means that more hot and humid temperatures will blanket our area, along with storms, thunderstorms, and potential flash floods. Monsoonal moisture will most likely begin over San Diego's mountains and deserts and may reach the inland valleys as well as our coastal areas. (NBC San Diego)
  2. The San Diego American Indian Community Health Center in Bankers Hill is a space for Native Americans of all nations to connect. The center helps Native Americans learn their language, and offers classes in beading, moccasins, and traditional talking circles. The center welcomes everyone to enjoy the 35th annual “gathering of the people” at the Balboa Park pow wow this weekend. (KPBS)
  3. After Josh Marshall, president of Superior Pools, took his clients’ money and left unfinished work behind, another contractor came to the couple's rescue. Sergio Martinez, the owner of S Squared, Inc. offered to complete the pool construction at cost. He said it’s his way of standing up for the good reputation of San Diego’s pool-building industry. Superior Pools is no longer licensed, and the California Contractor State License Board is investigating eight complaints against Superior Pools. (NBC San Diego)
