Your Safe Place interview room for children
  1. Thanks to Golden Door Spa in San Marcos, children who are victims, or witnesses of domestic violence, sexual assault, or trafficking will be interviewed in a new room at the San Diego City Attorney’s Office’s. The room will be located at Your Safe Place and will include child-sized furniture, toys for kids from diverse cultures, and will also have two-way computer monitors for observation in a safe environment.   2. According to Zumper, the median price of a one-bedroom apartment in San Diego rose to $2,400 last month, while two-bedroom units now costs $3,180. San Diego is now the seventh most costly for renters in the country. Looking for a less expensive place to live? Consider Tucson, Akron, and Wichita where you can rent a one-bedroom unit for $700.   3. By Arbor Day 2023, Urban Corps planted 2,000 trees throughout San Diego County as part of CAL FIRE Urban Forest Expansion and Improvement, bringing a total of 8,500 trees planted by Urban Corps over the past three years. Founded in 1989 Urban Corps is a certified local conservation corps and charter high school where students receive paid training in environmental and conservation work for the community. (Patch)
