Fatal Crash Closes Lanes, Prompts SigAlert On I-5 In San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA — Multiple lanes of northbound Interstate 5 were closed Tuesday morning after a fatal vehicle crash in the San Ysidro area of San Diego, authorities reported.

The collision was reported around 3:15 a.m. on northbound I-5 south of Dairy Mart Road, according to the California Highway Patrol's incident log. At least two vehicles were involved in the crash.

A SigAlert was issued around 5 a.m. for the area. Three lanes were blocked due to the crash, according to Caltrans.
