Firefighters Battle Residential Blaze In San Diego

A total of 30 personnel were assigned to the fire, including one truck, four engines and one medic, fire officials said.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Firefighters were battling a structure fire that broke out in a residential neighborhood of San Diego Saturday.

Units were dispatched at 8:30 a.m. Saturday and arrived a few minutes later to 538 61st St. near the intersection of Imperial Avenue, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

A total of 30 personnel were assigned to the fire, including one truck, four engines and one medic, fire officials said.

A fire investigator and the Red Cross were also sent to the site, and personnel from National City assisted in the effort as well.

No injuries or evacuations were immediately reported.
