Howl-O-Scream To Offer New Entertainment, Themed Food And Drinks

SAN DIEGO, CA — Howl-O-Scream returns this weekend with all new entertainment, hidden speakeasies, themed food and drinks, and more at SeaWorld San Diego.

The spine-tingling event, scheduled on select nights Friday through Nov. 2, will feature haunted houses, scare zones, a new theatrical show and roller coasters after dark.

Returning haunted houses include Area 64: Alien Outbreak, Circus of the Damned, Deathwater Bayou, Nightmare Experiment and Simon's Slaughterhouse. There will also be four new and three returning scare zones, as well as three new and three returning staged scenes called "vile vignettes" throughout the park.

This year's event will feature Opening SCAREmony, a reimagined stage show that opens the event, as well as Monster Stomp Show, an all-new theatrical performance at Nautilus Amphitheater. There will also be the new Vampire DJ at Red Moon Stage and Emperor Plaza, in addition to the returning Ringmaster DJ at Carnival Stage.

SeaWorld's newest dive coaster, Arctic Rescue, will be unrecognizable in the dark, according to the theme park. With special effects and light additions, riders will scout the darkened landscape with only flares as their guide.

The event will also feature themed food, cocktails and mocktails.

The all-new Halloween-inspired menu is designed by Executive Chef Zuric. Highlights include:

• Devil's Burger — Includes candied jalapenos, Hot Cheeto Cole Slaw and cheese
• Nightmare Pasta — Spaghetti with Italian Sausage Marinara
• Vampire Pizza Pretzel Bites — Filled with mozzarella and pepperoni
• Crazy Chips with Barbacoa — Topped with jalapenos, Cheeto Cheese Sauce or Flaming Hot Cheese Sauce
• Bloodshot Cake — Chocolate cake with raspberry
• Vampire Fangs — Strawberry filled churro topped with Oreo dust

Six sinister cocktail bars and three hidden speakeasies will be located throughout the park and in select haunted houses. These include three all-new bars — Bloodthirsty, Ancient Libations and The Cracked Cauldron. Drink highlights include:

• Blood Bag — Vodka, lemonade, cranberry and Grenadine
• Ringmaster Poison — Tequila, Sweet and Sour, Triple Sec with a strawberry syringe
• Alien Experiment — Sweet and Sour, Midori, rum and peach boba
• Clown's Curse — Vodka, Cointreau, cranberry topped with lime cotton candy
• Siren Spritz — Grapefruit, Aperol and Prosecco
• Screamsicle — Vanilla Vodka, Sweet and Sour, Blue Curacao
• Zombie Juice — Mocktail with lemonade and blue raspberry

Howl-O-Scream is a separately ticketed nighttime event.
