Howl-O-Scream To Unleash Fifth Year Of Fear At SeaWorld San Diego
Howl-O-Scream returns with reimagined haunted houses, new scare zones, hidden speakeasies and more at the San Diego theme park.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Howl-O-Scream is unleashing a fifth year of fear with fan favorites and sinister surprises at SeaWorld San Diego.
The spine-tingling event, scheduled on select nights Sept. 12 through Nov. 1, will feature reimagined haunted houses, freshly spawned scare zones, and sinister performances.
Two returning haunted houses were revamped in celebration of five years of fear, according to the San Diego theme park. Deathwater Bayou Awakening, where a Mardi Gras night in New Orleans takes a dark turn, and Nightmare Experiment Sweet DreamzZz, a converted asylum now run by a mysterious pharmaceutical company, have been reimagined this year.

In addition to five haunted houses, eight immersive scare zones will fill the park with scary characters and hair-raising frights, including returning scare zones Carnival of Chaos, Deadly Toys and Ripper Row. Overgrowth, a nightmarish walk through an overrun greenhouse, was added to the lineup of scare zones this year.
