CHULA VISTA, CA — A 36-year-old man was shot in Chula Vista and later died at a hospital, authorities said Sunday.
Officers were dispatched around 11 p.m. Saturday to a call of shots fired in the 200 block of Center Street, near Third Avenue, according to the Chula Vista Police Department.
The victim was found inside a truck with gunshot wounds to the upper body, according to a police statement cited by Fox5.

The suspects reportedly fled the scene in an older-model white pickup truck, the station reported.
A vehicle matching the description was later spotted on H Street, where two occupants were detained.

According to Fox5, police said 32-year-old Christian Benavides of San Diego was found in possession of a firearm and was arrested and booked into San Diego County Jail on suspicion of murder.
It wasn't immediately clear if the other suspect was arrested.
