Man, Woman Found Dead In South Bay Apartment

The man and woman were in their 20s, police said.

CHULA VISTA, CA — A young man and woman were found dead of apparent gunshot wounds early Tuesday at an apartment complex in San Diego's South Bay, authorities said.

A 911 caller reported hearing what sounded like a family argument followed by a gunshot shortly before 2:30 a.m. Tuesday at Kingwood Manor Apartments on Kingswood Drive in Chula Vista, according to the Chula Vista Police Department.

Officers entered the apartment where the shooting happened and found the bodies of the man and woman in a bedroom, Sgt. Anthony Molina said.

"A firearm was recovered from the scene and at this time, there is no indication of any outstanding suspects," he said. "Other residents were located within the household, and they remain cooperative with the investigation."

The man and woman were in their 20s and were believed to have lived in the apartment, police said. Their identities were withheld.
