North County VetFest To Honor Veterans With Veterans Day Parade And Festival
The sixth annual event event will feature a parade and festival with food trucks, kids' activities and live entertainment.
ESCONDIDO, CA — North County VetFest will honor and pay tribute to the veterans of North San Diego County on Veterans Day.
The sixth annual event, formerly known as Esco VetFest, will feature a Veterans Day parade and festival in Escondido. The Nov. 11 event will offer food trucks, kids' activities and live entertainment. The American Legion Riders will serve burgers and hot dogs.
The parade starts at 9:30 a.m. Staging is on Woodward and Broadway in the California Center for the Arts parking lot. From there, the parade goes south on Broadway, west on Valley Parkway, and north on Escondido Blvd. Street closures start at 8 a.m. and should open no later than noon.

Following the parade, the festivities and post-parade ceremonies will move to the American Legion Post 149 at 230 E. Park Avenue in Escondido.
The parade and festivities are organized by the American Legion Post 149, Brothers of 6 Charities, Inc. and Escondido DAV (Disabled American Veterans).
