SAN DIEGO, CA — A trash truck overturned on Interstate 5 in San Diego ahead of the Monday morning commute.

The crash was reported shortly before 6 a.m. near Hawthorn Street on northbound I-5, according to the California Highway Patrol's incident log. The EDCO truck was on its side.

The left two northbound lanes were closed in the area, according to Caltrans.
