Plane Lands On I-15 In Middle Of San Diego Rush Hour: Police

"Please drive through the area with caution as we get the plane safely removed from the freeway," police said.

SAN DIEGO — A plane landed on Interstate 15 during rush hour Monday evening, according to police.

California Highway Patrol warned motorists around 5 p.m. that a single-engine aircraft had made an emergency landing in the center median of the northbound interstate south of Balboa Avenue, adding that a Sig Alert had been issued.

About an hour later, the agency said there were no reported injuries associated with the incident.
