Plane Lands On I-15 In Middle Of San Diego Rush Hour: Police

SAN DIEGO — A plane landed on Interstate 15 during rush hour Monday evening, according to police.

California Highway Patrol warned motorists around 5 p.m. that a single-engine aircraft had made an emergency landing in the center median of the northbound interstate south of Balboa Avenue, adding that a Sig Alert had been issued.

About an hour later, the agency said there were no reported injuries associated with the incident.

"Please drive through the area with caution as we get the plane safely removed from the freeway," the agency's Border Communications Center said in a social media post.
