  1. Public safety is on everyone’s mind these days and for good reason. Crime is up, auto accidents due to drivers under the influence have increased, and then there is the wildfire danger in San Diego. However, residents are most fearful of the placement of a sexually violent predator in their neighborhoods. Now a resolution to support SB832 would prohibit the placement of sexually violent predators in residential neighborhoods. (KUSI)
  2. Consumer bill AB 1366 would create a new Victims of Consumer Fraud Restitution Fund funded by penalties imposed on companies that violate consumer laws. The legislation would make it possible for San Diegans to get their money back when ordered by a court. Companies would no longer be able to hide behind bankruptcy protections. (NBC San Diego)
  3. The San Diego Craft Collective, a 501c3 nonprofit located in Liberty Station, teaches craft to the community. The collective offers classes in woodworking, ceramics, sewing, macrame, natural dye techniques, weaving, fused glass, mosaics and papercraft. All experience levels are welcome. (Liberty Station)
