Rady Children's Ice Rink Returning To Liberty Station
Net proceeds from the rink support the Thriving After Cancer Program at Rady Children's Hospital.
SAN DIEGO, CA — Rady Children's Ice Rink, which raises money for child cancer survivors, is slated to open Thursday at San Diego's Liberty Station.
Net proceeds from the rink support the Thriving After Cancer Program at the Peckham Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Rady Children's Hospital. The program provides education and resources for more than 500 cancer survivors each year.
This will be the ice rank's ninth year at Liberty Station. More than 30,000 skaters hit the rink in 2024, according to Rady Children's Hospital. Since the rink started 29 years ago, it has helped raise over $2 million to benefit the Thriving After Cancer Program.
