Riverside County Murder Suspect Arrested In San Diego County

SAN DIEGO, CA — A Riverside County man suspected of killing another man was arrested in San Diego County, authorities said.

Deputies responded to an assault at 9:51 p.m. Sept. 22 at a park in the 500 block of East Main St. in San Jacinto, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Office. They found a man, later identified as David Montero, a 40-year-old resident of San Jacinto, suffering from traumatic injuries. He was pronounced dead in a hospital three days later.

Guzman-Banuelos was arrested Thursday near the intersection of Enrico Fermi Drive and state Route 11 near the U.S.-Mexico border, according to Riverside County Sheriff's inmate database. He was booked on suspicion of murder into Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside.
