Here are the top stories today in San Diego:
- Road rage involving guns is on the rise in San Diego. More Gun Violence Restraining Orders (GVRO) were issued after road rage incidents turned violent with guns involved. If you find yourself in a road rage situation, do not make eye contact, and do not drive home. Instead, drive to a police station and call 911 to have an officer help you. (FOX 5 San Diego)
- With Title 42 due to expire, the county is preparing for an influx of migrants at the border. Most local shelters are already at or near capacity. Jewish Family Services will coordinate with various levels of government to provide assistance. The White House has pledged to send an additional 1,500 troops to assist the 2,500 already at the border. (NBC San Diego)
- Mission Trails Regional Park in San Carlos will host a guided nature walk, free of charge, on May 10, 17, 24 or 31 from 9:30-11 a.m. Hit the trail to learn about the plants, animals, geology, history, and the ecology of the park, while you enjoy seasonal flowers in bloom.
