San Diego Among Top 10 For Inflation Problem In U.S.: Study
The San Diego area saw one of the largest consumer price index changes from two months ago.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A new report on how inflation is affecting major cities across the U.S. found that San Diego has one of the biggest inflation problems in the country.
The San Diego-Carlsbad area had one of the largest consumer price index changes, 0.60% in the past two months, according to the study by WalletHub. The metro's consumer price index change from a year ago sits at 3.50%.
To determine how inflation is impacting people in different cities, analysts at the personal-finance website compared 23 major Metropolitan Statistical Areas across two key metrics involving the Consumer Price Index, which measures inflation. The study's authors compared the Consumer Price Index for the latest month for which BLS data is available to two months prior and one year prior to get a snapshot of how inflation has changed in the short and long term.
