San Diego Based Advocate Molly T. Kennedy Helps Teens With Disabilities Lead Their Own Lives
Coach, advocate, and speaker available to help youth with disabilities build self-determination skills
San Diego advocate and motivational speaker Molly Kennedy of Molly Kennedy Consulting is bringing an empowering message to local teens with disabilities through a new bi-weekly podcast, Be Determined, and expanded, person-centered consulting services.
Through Molly Kennedy Consulting, she works with high school students, families, and educators to build real-world self-determination skills such as decision making, problem solving, goal setting, and self-advocacy. Born with cerebral palsy, Kennedy grew up in a world that often equated limitations with identity. Kennedy uses humor and honesty to help students see what’s possible: “It’s not what you overcome, it’s what you become,” she says.
The Be Determined podcast extends her message nationwide with inspiring conversations and practical takeaways on independence, identity, and empowerment. Closer to home, Kennedy is currently planning visits to campuses during a San Diego high school speaking circuit, encouraging students to turn challenges into stepping stones and lead their own futures.
