Panel moderator Stephen Colbert then took the stage and introduced executive producers Lindsey Weber, J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay. At this juncture, the discussion was geared more toward the plot.
How different is it from Peter Jackson's movie trilogy? Payne enlightened the crowd, stating that it is not a spin-off; rather, it is an entirely different Tolkienian epic.
"It's a human story. It's about how far into the darkness are you willing to go to reach the good. The world is in a different state, the Second Age. It's about reintroducing this world and there's a new evil," Payne said.
A parade of cast members took over the center stage: Sophia Nomvete, Lloyd Owen, Dylan Smith, Leon Wadham, Benjamin Walker, Sara Zwangobani, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Maxim Baldry, Nazanin Boniadi, Charles Edwards, Trystan Gravelle, Ema Horvath, Tyroe Muhafidin, Charlie Vickers, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Daniel Weyman, Megan Richards and Robert Aramayo.
Nomvete charmed the audience while she talked about her character "Disa."

"She is the first female dwarf that we have ever seen on any screen, the first female dwarf that we've seen in the works of Tolkien," Nomvete said. "And women dwarves will have facial hair."
The panel saw the debut of a new full trailer (the second one to date) along with five exclusive clips from the show.

"For All Mankind" fans, Rejoice! The show's panel at Comic-Con announced that the acclaimed series has been renewed for Season 4 at Apple TV+. In addition, the production on the new season is slated to begin next month.
Gripping as it is, "For All Mankind" explores what would have happened if the global space race had never ended. It presents an aspirational world where the NASA community navigates extraordinary events through the prism of an alternate history timeline.

Oozing with star power, Keanu Reeves appeared at Comic-Con on Friday, taking the Hall H stage to a rousing applause. The mega-star participated in a panel discussion for "BRZRKR," the comic book series from Boom! Studios that he co-created and has co-written with Matt Kindt.
Reeves explained the genesis of the 80,000-year-old warrior, a half-god immortal who has the propensity for punching people through the chest.
"I had this idea: I wanted a character to punch people through their chest and rip their arms off and the idea of someone who was cursed with violence and trying to figure out who they are and how they came to be and kind of reclaiming their humanity," Reeve told the crowd.
Mattson Tomlin is writing the script for the Netflix live-action feature film with Reeves in the leading role of the immortal Berzerker. The screenwriter mentioned that he works very closely with Reeves, often asking the star for feedback on various comics elements that should be included in the movie.
During the event, it was announced that the anime series adaptation will be produced by Production I.G, and that it will have two seasons.
Whoa! It was also announced that Keanu Reeves would co-author a book set in the fictional BRZRKR universe.
