San Diego County Fair Announces 2026 Theme: 'Once Upon A Fair'
"The San Diego County Fair is the greatest story our community has ever told."
SAN DIEGO, CA — Fairgoers are invited to open a new chapter next summer at the San Diego County Fair.
The 22nd District Agricultural Association, which manages and operates the Del Mar Fairgrounds, announced Tuesday that "Once Upon A Fair" is the theme for next year's event.
The region's longest-running and largest community event will celebrate the joys of reading, the power of storytelling, and the magic found between the lines.

"The San Diego County Fair is the greatest story our community has ever told," said Carlene Moore, the CEO of the 22nd District Agricultural Association. "It's a tale of food, fun, friends, family, laughter, tradition, music, amazement, and pure, unbridled joy. Our Fair is always an unforgettable event, and we know that Once Upon a Fair truly will be one for the books."
The 2026 fair will open June 10 and run through July 5. The fair will be closed Mondays and Tuesdays. The event takes place at the Del Mar Fairgrounds at 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd. in Del Mar.
